It's been in the low 90's 3 out of the past 4 days. What crazy weather - a warm start to May, then it took a chilly turn, and now we've jumped to July-like weather. Lots of watering needed though God did bless us with some rain last night.
Put in some more plants Saturday morning - sedum (the taller kind), lamb's ear, slow-to-bolt cilantro
Today we planted the asparagus beans, purple king beans, Italian red bush beans, first set of peas, fingerling potatoes, first set of carrots and the cucumbers.
Tomatoes are loving the heat as are the zucchini. The bishop's weed I planted up front is not doing well - may need to pull it out.
The black currant bushes are holding their own and are getting new growth.
Checked the potato traps again - doesn't seem to be too much of a wireworm problems. Slugs are still loving my lettuce!
Harvested some oregano and rosemary today. Basil is growing well, as is the stevia and thyme.
So much weeding, ugh! - the topsoil we got is riddled with seeds of all kinds. Maybe look into a different place for ordering next year's batch of topsoil.
